I was born and raised in New Jersey and first came “out west” after graduating high school to visit my brother. After weeks of hiking, canoeing, camping, and just being in the great outdoors, I immediately fell in love. So two years later, I moved here for good and still enjoy all the wonderful things Colorado has to offer. I went back to school and graduated from CU Boulder with a BA in Geography. I traveled while in school spending six weeks canoeing in the Northwest Territories of Canada, several weeks one summer assisting a PhD student with her graduate field work, and a semester at sea visiting Venezuela, Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, India, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan before returning back to the US.
Fortunately, I met a man, on the softball field, who loves to travel as much as I do! We married and moved to Berthoud to split the commute of our jobs. We are very happy to have landed in here and have raised two wonderful sons currently at Berthoud High School. They keep us busy with sports and academic events. As a family, we love to travel throughout the US and abroad. Because my husband is a geography professor, we have had the opportunity to visit Europe on a few occasions – which suits my history-loving boys just fine! We also love to camp, kayak, play tennis, golf, play board games, and cheer on the Colorado Rockies! When I’m not at high school soccer or baseball games, I love to cycle, garden and play with my four furry friends! I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people who share my values concerning our impact on our planet.
