Energy Rater Assistant, with EnergyLogic since September 2018
Born and raised along the Front Range, I feel right at home starting my career with EnergyLogic. I grew up in Littleton, CO, and received a BS from Colorado School of Mines in rustic Golden, CO. During this time, I worked briefly in the environmental remediation, geologic hazards, and mining industries. When not in school, I was outside playing sports or inside jamming music. Hiking, trail running, snowboarding, slacklining, piano and bass filled my time. And I mustn’t forget to mention Red Rocks. Live music is one of the three things that really animate me.
The others are travel and helping people. After graduating from Mines, I left the country to backpack through SE Asia and work for a time on humanitarian projects in Nicaragua, Nepal, Cambodia and Australia. It was during this time that I decided to return to school and earned a MS in renewable energy engineering from the University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia. I seized upon yoga while traveling and received my teacher’s certificate in Rishikesh, India in 2018, and after many other beautiful and eye-opening cultural experiences in foreign lands, I’ve returned to Colorado to put my talents to use bettering the world. I still ardently pursue the outdoors every opportunity I get, hoping to finish off my remaining list of 14ers in a season or two.
I am excited to be making an impact towards sustainable building science with EnergyLogic and I hope to continue doing my part to protect this beautiful planet in the years to come. Summer means backpacking and concerts and winter means snowboarding and breweries – it’s great to be home.
