Insulation
EnergyLogic installs insulation based on the needs of the home and the client. We install cellulose and fiberglass insulation in attics, walls and other locations. Insulation retrofit can save substantial amounts of money on energy bills and result in greater comfort in your home.
EnergyLogic requires air-sealing before installing attic insulation. To not do so represents a tremendous missed opportunity and would seem irresponsible.
Air-sealing
Reducing infiltration of outside air into the home is one key to improving both comfort and energy efficiency. Air-sealing along with insulation typically results in a substantially tighter structure that requires less energy to heat and cool. Using a blower door, EnergyLogic is able to diagnose and pinpoint the leakage in a home, reducing wasted effort and getting to the root of the problem. A wide variety of materials, including expanding foam and high-quality sealants, are employed to achieve permanent results.
Crawlspace Retrofits
Homes with crawlspaces typically have a variety of problems, all of which can be remedied to achieve significant energy savings and result in better indoor air quality. Energy losses, excess moisture and soil gas entry are primary problems in most crawlspaces. Using proven techniques, EnergyLogic works to create healthy, efficient crawlspaces.
Miscellaneous Energy Retrofit Services
During a standard energy audit, smaller items may also be identified, such as weather-stripping issues, bath fan replacement and attic hatch replacement. The list of possible items can be long. EnergyLogic can tackle these additional needs along with the larger items.
General Contracting
If retrofit measures include items beyond the scope of EnergyLogic's services, we are able to oversee the installation of windows, mechanical systems and other energy-related features. We work with a select list of contractors who will deliver quality workmanship as well as a deep knowledge of their trade. This type of work is bid on an hourly basis to avoid any potential conflict of interest that may come with charging a percentage of the job.
