Veterans Green Jobs Program Gets $750k Boost

Hundred of veterans will be trained and placed into green jobs thanks to a recent grant from The Walmart Foundation. It recently announced a $750,000 grant to the nonprofit organization, Veterans Green Jobs. The funding will be used over a two-year period to help the organization train and employ veterans in the green sector. More

Governor Ritter Joins EnergyLogic and Veteran's Green Jobs for Home Weatherization Event

This morning, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter gave recognition and thanks to the 600+ residents in Denver and Jefferson Counties who have had their homes upgraded with weatherization services that promote energy efficiency. In timing with the beginning of October - National Energy Awareness Month - the Governor encourages income-qualified residents to sign up for free weatherization upgrades. Two National EPA Awards for EnergyLogic

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded EnergyLogic, Inc. a 2010 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year and a 2010 ENERGY STAR for Homes Leadership in Housing Award. Both awards recognize Energy Logic's outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through its work as a home energy rater.

EnergyLogic verified 20 percent of all new homes built in Colorado in 2009, saving consumers $1.3 million in utility bills. more
