This course will cover the following:
- Demand Billing and Load Shedding - 1 hour
- Commercial HVAC Systems and Service Hot Water - 4 hours
- Commercial Lighting - 1 hour
- Building Automation - 1 hour
- Thermal Envelope - 1 hour
Course Details
- Demand billing and load shedding will go into depth on how some commercial customers are billed and why demand charges are so expensive
- A good Commercial Audit looks beyond improving efficiency. Learn how to get customers to use electricity smarter to lower their energy costs.
- Commercial HVAC will go into depth on Variable air volume systems, constant air volume systems, how most work, economizers, ventilation requirements, and how service hot water ties into the mix
- Commercial lighting will cover the easy change-outs, briefly cover IESNA standards, intro to day lighting, and controls
- Commercial thermal envelope will expand on Energy Rater's knowledge of residential insulation and air-sealing to include core and shell building practices
- Building automation, what it is, why it is so useful for energy savings, diagnosis of problems, and how to maximize its usefulness
