EnergyLogic ENERGY RATING SERVICE

The EnergyLogic energy rating assigns an energy efficiency "score" to homes. The basic EnergyLogic energy rating includes inspections of insulation, the mechanical systems, windows and a blower door test to determine air tightness.

COMBUSTION APPLIANCE ZONE TESTING

Negative pressure in the combustion appliance zone can result in a dangerous situation. We test every home's CAZ pressure.

LOW-E TESTING

It is common for low-e windows to be installed incorrectly or not at all, even when you specified them. EnergyLogic performs spot checking of low-e coating location and presence in all homes inspected.

INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY

EnergyLogic uses infrared cameras to find flaws in the insulation and air sealing of the home. In many ways there is no substitute for infrared testing of the home.

TOTAL SYSTEM FLOW MEASUREMENT

We can determine the total system flow - a vital measurement for knowing if your air-handlers are performing as promised.

FLOW INSPECTIONS

For homes that have had load calculations performed by EnergyLogic or a third party, we can perform inspections of flow by room.

ROUGH-IN INSPECTIONS

In order to reach the highest level of quality control, EnergyLogic conducts mid-phase inspections on your homes to insure that corrections can be made to the thermal envelope, mechanical systems and air sealing package as soon as possible.

STATIC PRESSURE INSPECTIONS

High static pressure hurts performance and indicates design and installation problems. EnergyLogic measures static pressure of the system on all homes tested.

QUARTERLY SUMMARY REPORTS

EnergyLogic produces a quarterly report outling the following information for every home:

All measured data for every home
Energy rating score
Comments from our field inspectors
We perform a thorough analysis of the data to reveal trends and find out what's working and what's not

DATA LOGGING

Sometimes, we need to know what is going on in a home over a period of time. Inspections area snapshot of any home. In order to spot a trend or in general learn more about a home, we may need to gather more data. EnergyLogic uses state-of-the-art data loggers to gather virtually any information that we may need.
